What's New:

Excel announces addition flying grids testing option...720 highly precise probes...delivers the highest quality boards for the lowest price on quick turn orders...

Excel Elelectrocircuit is constantly improving internal processes and equipment to provide on-going superior quality at the best possible value.

These are  some of the recent service and equipment additions and replacements:

Flying Grids Testing:
Excel Electrocircuit, Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of a New System flying grids testing machine. This system uses CAM data to deliver the highly accurate testing at very high speed.

Controlled Impedance Testing: Excel Electrocircuit, Inc. offers controlled impedance PCB product line. Verification of parameterrs is performed by a Polar CITS800s4 Impedance tester. With this in-house capability, Excel is able to accommodate quicker turnaround of critical orders and assure product within the engineered electrical specifications. Contact our Engineering or Customer service for details.

Immersion Silver:
Excel Electrocircuit, Inc. now offers "immersion silver" as a final finish alternative to HASL, ENIG, lead-free HAL, etc.!  Our new in-house silver plating line provides state-of-the-art finish to meet the increasing demand for alternate finishes.  Call for details!

July 2005: Excel Electrocircuit offers "Lead-free" HASL process as an alternate option to standard tin/lead solder. Environmental concerns have driven the industry in search of alternatives to the classic tin/lead solder coating process. Fortunately, research rendered tin-based alloys that do NOT include lead, and provide several advantages including: (1) Superior surface planarity (2) Extended shelf-life compared to classic tin/lead  (3) Improved topography, especially on fine pitch and small surface mount features.  This leads to improved gasketing for solder paste applications reducing shorts and solder balling during assembly.  The new higher tin content alloys also offer superior solderability for final assembly, and require absolutely NO adjustments in processes or parameters by the final assembler.
The advantages are many ~ all conversion is implemented entirely by the bare-board manufacturer.
Excel took delivery of the new HASL machine from Lantronics Corporation in mid June 2005.
NOTE: Traditional tin/lead HASL will remain available indefinitely.
